Update on site stuff

Postby RyanDG on Mon Dec 31, 2007 6:54 pm

With the holidays coming to a close, my schedule will be getting back to normal starting next Monday (Jan 7th). That'll allow me to be back on top of things a bit more and to get back to the 2-3 news updates a day on the front page.

I'm also going to start working on ways to build up the forums more at that time and to drive more people to the them using links from the front page in the articles and a few other ideas I have.

I just wanted to give everyone the heads up that I'm almost back to normal and will be able to begin focusing on the site a bit more next week. :)

Well, I'm back and ready to start going at this more regularly again (as which can probably be gathered by the last two days of "catching up"). I'll start phasing in some of the changes I've been promising starting towards the end of January. I have a couple of ideas in mind for the first "updates", but its going to be a matter of bearing with me as this is just a "hobby" of mine.

I've been in negotiation with some companies for some "gift card" support, so I'm going to see about perhaps running a few "easy" contests off the main site. Nothing too difficult - probably something a long the lines of "show us your local arcade"...

We'll cross that hurdle when I get there though.
