I really wish SNK Playmore would release some direct feed gameplay videos. I'm getting a little tired of only YouTube gameplay videos.

Now that Ultimate Match is coming stateside as well, it should be interesting to see how SNK Playmore USA ends up pricing it. Considering it is going to be released several months after the JP version, it makes me wonder if they are going to follow their same budget pricing model they have been using with other JP releases. Especially with the "revamped" Orochi collection including KOF '98.

I fully expect a bargain-bin priced release. I don't think SNK can get away with charging full price for any of their PS2 games anymore. And wasn't that the whole point back a few years ago that kept their US releases Xbox exclusive? The difference between now and then is that they can use sales of Days of Memories on cellphones/DS to subsidize their "real" game releases..

The game is out in Japanese arcades. If any one ordered it from NCSX, it should have been shipped out already.

I'm waiting for KOF XII to start my arcade hardware collection myself. Of all the games available, that one is the most important to me. I came *this* close to getting a Seibu SPI with Raiden Fighters a few years ago, but that one got taken care of recently, heh heh.

I have a friend who order his from coinopexpress I believe. I'll have to check with him.

With the pricing already showing up for Street Fighter IV as requiring a purchase of at least 4 kits, it makes me wonder if SNK will do the same for KOFXII initially. I'm expecting that probably September/October is when we'll start seeing the SFIV kits broken up into more precise bites.

It's a requirement to purchase the 4-kit setup? I thought that was an option for op's who don't have enough fighting game compatible cabs.

I highly doubt SNK will have the same bonehead restriction. They seem to be going out of their way to keep KOF XII old school, so I imagine they'll be more than happy to sell single kits to any one that wants one.

All the kits right now are requiring purchases of at least 4 units. NTSC actually had to pull their listing because they were planning on receiving individual kits but were later informed from their distributer that the 4 kit sets are all that will be available at first.

Pretty crazy if you ask me. We'll probably start seeing them break up into individual units by private resellers, but anyone going through semi-official sources are limited to the 4 pack right now.

The game's out in arcades, but the site is still getting updates. Again, nothing outstanding, but the new screenshots show off some of the additions, like 97 stages, Orochi Team and Leona's Riot of Blood "mode." The game looks great in pictures, but I'm a little worried about the reports of players still experiencing the input lag from the first location tests. It's greatly reduced, but it's still there, allegedly. I hope it's only noticeable to those who require split second timing in competitive play, not something that taints general gameplay.

We'll find out soon enough I guess, the internets tell me that the JP PS2 port is coming 6/26/08.
